Description
An image of the first Kentucky State House. After two brief 1792 sessions in Lexington, the Legislature met in the Wilkinson House on Wapping Street, in Frankfort, for a year until the first official capitol building was completed. A note on the slide credits the original image to the July 1796 edition of New York Magazine.
